172 Vehicle maintenance
Note
If it is unable to smoothly start
the vehicle without electricity,
it is necessary to try starting
after an interval of about 1min,
and opening time should not
exceed 15s.
Caution
Prohibit starting vehicle by
push
or
drag
method.
Otherwise it may damage to
catalytic
converter
and
transmission, and even cause
personal injury.
Caution
Explosion hazard exists in
battery. You may be burned by
acid battery liquor, and
electrical short circuit will
also cause personal injury or
damage to vehicle.
Prohibit
battery
from
closing to open fire or
spark. Prohibit leaning
body on the top of battery
while vehicle bonding
starting.
Prohibit mutual contact
of cable terminals.
Protective glasses must
be worn while operating
nearby battery.
Prohibit
acid
battery
liquor contacting eyes,
skin, fabric or paint
surface.
Ensure the voltage of
battery
for
bonding
starting is equal to the
voltage
of
original
battery.
Caution
Prohibit
disconnecting
the
battery
without
electricity on vehicle.
Non-compliance
with
the
above precautions or the
following instructions while
starting engine with jumper
cable will cause battery
explosion, be burnt by acid
battery liquor or cause short
circuit.
It will damage electrical
systems of both vehicles and
cause serious personal injury.
