Driving and operation 129
Vehicle start
After the engine is started and
replaced with the required stop,
release the hand brake and brake
pedal, and the vehicle will start slowly.
Start up hill
The electronic handbrake (EPB) helps
you get started on the ramp. When
you park on a ramp, pull on the
handbrake and fasten your seat belt.
When you are ready to start, step on
the brake pedal, mount the required
stop (D/R), release the brake pedal,
and step on the acceleration pedal.
The EPB will release automatically,
and the vehicle will start smoothly.
Please refer to "driving and handling"
section, "electronic handbrake (EPB)"
for details.
Caution
When stopping on a ramp (in
case of a traffic jam), do not
use the fuel door to keep the
vehicle from slipping behind,
which
will
cause
the
transmission oil temperature
to rise sharply.
Downhill driving
If the brake pedal is kept on for a long
time, it may overheat the brake and lead
to the reduction or even failure of the
braking effect.
When the brake pedal is applied on the
lower slope to reduce the speed, the
gear lever is pushed to the right from the
d-gear and to the (-) position, and the
lower gear is mounted. In this way, the
braking action of the engine can be used
to reduce the speed and reduce the load
of the brake.
Thermal protected mode
Transmission overheat protection under
high
temperature
environment
frequently start or transmission overload
condition,
automatic
transmission
may become very hot.
To avoid transmission damage, the
system
will
perform
overheat
protection, when the vehicle power
will be limited. At this point should
choose a smooth driving behavior,
avoid violent driving.
If the warning information of the
combined
instrument
remains
unchanged or does not disappear
after
20
minutes
of
operation
according to the above information
prompts, please contact the special
service center for repair as soon as
possible, otherwise the transmission
may be seriously damaged.
Limp mode
When there is some fault in the
transmission, the transmission will go
into the claudication mode. At this
time, the transmission can only work
at a specific speed ratio. At this time,
the transmission shift will have a
strong sense of impact.
