Vehicle maintenance 165
Note
Be sure to check tire pressure
after tire being cooled to
ambient temperature. Tire
pressure measured after tire
becomes hot should be
invalid.
Tire will become hot after
driving for 1.6km, and can’t
fully become cold for 3 hours
after parking.
Tires and wheels protection
Sharp object run-over will damage tire
and wheel.
Vehicle must slow down if such
objects must have to be run over.
Avoid crashing rod edge while
parking.
Regular inspection of tire
Regularly inspect the following items:
Appearance damage, including:
foreign materials, puncture, cuts,
crack and lateral ridges.
Inspect whether the wheels are
damaged.
Tire defects including the above
problems will cause lose control of
vehicle, thus resulting in personal injury.
Suggest consulting with Authorized
Workshop if your tire or wheel is
damaged or worn abnormally.
Your vehicle is equipped with radial tire.
SGMW suggests replacing the radial tire
with same size, pattern, tread wear,
temperature and rated speed.
Built-in tread wear indication
mark
Regularly inspect the tread depth of
tire based on thread wear indication
mark. Marks on tire wall indicate the
position of thread wear indication
marks.
Tire must be replaced when thread
wear
indicator
appears.
Wear
indicator will appear between thread
grooves when thread depth is worn to
1.6mm or below.
