5. With the primary filter removed, use a lint-free cloth
tied to a stiff rod and wipe the inside of the housing
clean. Avoid touching the inner filter.

6. Do not remove the inner filter unless the outside of
the inner filter is dirty, replace the inner filter do not
clean. Repeat step
5 if replacing the inner filter.

7. Dispose of the filters in accordance with local, re-
gional, and federal regulations.
8. If applicable, install the inner air filter. Ensure a tight
seal is created.
9. Install the primary air filter. Ensure a tight seal is
created.
10. Fasten the clips that secure the air filter housing in
place.
11. Start up the engine.
12. Ensure the warning lamp does not illuminate. If the
warning light illuminates replace the outer filter if it
was cleaned instead of replaced. If the problem con-
tinues replace the inner filter.
