When transferring the patient from the hospital bed to the X-ray table, the table top has to be
locked and centered over the table.

The table shall always be operated from the front, i.e. the same side as the image receptor
holder is operated. To reduce the lateral forces on the table, the operator should be placed
on the opposite longitudinal side of the patient and the hospital bed. The operator should
then drag the mattress with the patient from the hospital bed to the X-ray Table.
