Chapter 7

Registering Information in Your Machine

Changing or deleting an entry

Follow this procedure:

Use the numeric keys to enter a name for the directory dialing (max. 16
characters, including spaces).

NOTE

• For details on how to enter or delete characters, see page 91.

Press [OK].

• To continue registering directory dialing, repeat the procedure from step 4.

Press [Stop/Reset].

NOTE

• For a list of the recipients you have registered, print the DIRECTORY DIAL list. (See page 88.)

To change a registered number:

1. Follow the procedures from step 1 to 5 for “Registering directory dialing.”

2. Use [ ] to delete the registered number.

3. Use the numeric keys to enter the new number.

NOTE

• For details on how to enter or delete characters, see page 91.

4. Press [OK].

5. Press [Stop/Reset].

To change a registered name:

1. Follow the procedures from step 1 to 4 for “Registering directory dialing.”

2. Press [OK] four times.

3. Press and hold [ ] to delete the registered name.

4. Use the numeric keys to enter the new name.

NOTE

• For details on how to enter or delete characters, see page 91.

5. Press [OK].

6. Press [Stop/Reset].

To delete an entire entry:

1. Follow the procedures from step 1 to 5 for “Registering directory dialing.”

2. Press and hold [ ] to clear the registered number.

3. Press [OK].

4. Press [Stop/Reset].

• The name will automatically be deleted when you delete the number.
