Interface Wiring
There are many ways to interface the wire harness to the tester. A backwired harness board
often is used to provide interfacing as well as to serve as a holding fixture for the harness during
build and test. For our example, however, a simple dedicated interface harness will be used.
This example provides a mating connector for each harness connector on one end and a tester
interfacing connector on the other. Each point on the harness is connected to one point on the
tester interface connector. The dedicated interface harness example is shown below.

NOTE
In actual applications, a set of interface cables should be
connected between the test fixture connector(s) and the actual
tester connector. The dedicated harness can then be
disconnected from the Tester interface cable, eliminating
excessive wear on the tester connectors.
