SYSTEM OVERVIEW
The Cablescan Model 512 is a microprocessor-based continuity tester. It can be used as an
assembly aid, an in-process continuity tester, and a final interconnect verification instrument for
harnesses, backplanes, and cables. Besides being self-programming, the tester provides a variety
of programming methods and floppy-disk storage of programs. An optional printer generates
hardcopy test records, and an optional Keyboard/CRT provides control in user language. The
tester may also be controlled by a Personal Computer through an RS-232C Terminal port.
