5.4.4 Door base
The door base contains drive units and the motor unit in the case of electrically operated doors, which are
concealed with covering panels and are accessible from the interior.
5.4.5 Tail door (optional)
The tail door is located above the sliding door and serves as an opening for the airplane's tail fin. It is a separate
door with its own control system and separate documentation. Heed the separate documentation for that door.
If the tail door should simultaneously serve as a supporting element for the upper guiding rail for the (regular)
door, then it is necessary for the two control systems to interact. This interaction ensures that:
the tail door can only be opened if the sliding door has reached its opened position.
the sliding door can only be closed if the tail door is closed.
