Functioning of the sliding door system
The sliding door consists of door leaves, which are equipped with guide rollers toward the top and wheels at
the bottom.
At the
upper part
of the door, guide rollers guide the door within guide rails.
At the
lower part
of the door, wheels keep the door in position on the bottom tracks.
The incorporated
safety devices
(safety edge controls, warning signal devices) allow safe operation
of the system.
The
actual weight
of the door leaves is borne by the bottom wheels.
The control system is customised based on specific customer requirements and circumstances (e.g.
with operator panels on the door leaves, control and display elements at the main electrical cabinet or
via an RC remote control, if applicable).
Optional for a tail door: A requirement for moving the tail door is that the sliding door is already opened.
5.1.1 Functioning of the electrically operated sliding door system (STAE)
The individual door leaves can be operated independently of one another.
There is a drive unit with motor and drive chain located in the base of the powered door leaf. The drive unit is
controlled with a frequency convertor. The respectively integrated motor brakes bring the corresponding motor
to a stop.
5.1.2 Functioning of the telescopic sliding door system (STTE)
In the case of the telescopic sliding door, the door leaves are arranged in a telescopic manner to one another
and always move at the same time. The individual door leaves are connected to one another with cables, so
the movement of the powered door leaf is transferred to all other door leaves. Due to the transfer of force
through cables, the end positions of all the door leaves are reached simultaneously.
5.1.3 Functioning of a radial door system (STRE)
The door leaf consists of multiple door components, which are connected to one another with hinges. This
enables the opening movement of the door leaf along the curved sliding rails and guiding rails in the direction
of the side walls.
The drive unit directly affects one or more wheels of the door leaf. Depending on the version, there is either
an electromechanical or a hydrostatic drive unit used.
