7 Delivery and transport
Magnet and electronics installation must always be planned and carried out in close cooperation
with the local Bruker BioSPin MRI office. On the day the magnet is placed, a Bruker BioSpin MRI
employee must be on site. Planning of delivery and transport must comprise the following items:
▪ Magnet transport to installation site, e.g. air and/or road transport with suitable transport
methods
▪ Unloading area and magnet transport within the building
▪ Appropriate intermediate storage, if necessary
▪ Transport and installation of the electronics cabinets and accessories
If the organization of transportation and placement are not carried out by Bruker BioSpin MRI, it
is the system owner's responsibility to take the necessary safety and preventative measures
when transporting and storing the MR system and to ensure that there is adequate liability in-
surance.
WARNING
Warning of injury and/or warning of damage to the MR system
Transport, storage, and placement of the MR system must be carried out particular with care.
In the event they are carried out by non-specialists, there are risks of:
- Personal injury when transporting heavy goods
- Personal injury due to cryogenic liquids and gases
- Significant damage to the MR system due to inappropriate handling
- Structural damage to buildings due to heavy loads
Damage during transportation and loss of transport insurance services:
Before the magnet is unloaded from the truck, the condition of the shock indicators must be
checked and documented.
