The success of the download can also be seen from the result of the TFTP command, showing the
command executed successfully and actual time it took. If, on the other hand, the TFTP was finished
with a “timeout occurred” message, and you need to find out why.
If the LEDs on the unit display a normal pattern (green flashing regularly, yellows flashing as packets
are forwarded), then either the PC doesn’t have a good Ethernet connection to the box or the IP
address you entered is incorrect.
If the green-yellow-yellow LEDs keep circulating, then the download has failed in the middle. You
have to reset the box (by powering off and on the box) and see the status of last download. If the
problem happened pretty early and the flash ROM has not been touched at all, then the box will boot
as usual; otherwise, both red and green LEDs will be on steadily, indicating it can’t perform a normal
boot and is only waiting for a download. Now, go to step 3 and try again.
