Mounting the Interface
When choosing the mounting location for the interface take into consideration
that:
Ø
the Interface must be connected to the Receiver and control panel;
Ø
the maximum wire length between the Receiver and control panel is 50 metres;
Ø
Universal Interfacing may require up to 20 wires, therefore, the interface must
be located as near as possible to the control panel.
Ø
the interface must be located in a safe place that allows easy access.
Read the following instructions carefully before mounting the Interface (refer to
the figure on page 57).
1 Lay the wires for the connection to the receiver and Control panel.
2 Loosen the screw

(it is not necessary to remove it completely), then remove
the frontplate.
3 If necessary remove cutaway segments

to widen the wire entry.
4 Place the backplate in the proposed location, mark the screw positions

then
drill the screw holes.

Be careful to avoid conduits and plumbing when drilling.
5 Pull the connection wires through the wire entry, then attach the Interface.
6 Complete the wiring. Leave the power connection to last.
7 Power up.
8 Program the Interface (refer to the “PROGRAMMING THE INTERFACE” section).
9 Attach the frontplate to the top of the backplate, then tighten the screw
