Placement of Wireless Sensors
It is extremely important to test the proposed placement of each Wireless
Sensor before it is mounted. Test the signal strength between the Receiver and
the Wireless Sensors as follows.
1 Place the Wireless Sensors temporarily in the proposed placement.
2 Press the PROG ( 1 ) button on the interface for at least
5 seconds.

A flow of dots on the bottom row of the display will
indicate that the placement test is in progress.
The Interface will exit the programming phase
automatically 5 minutes after the last operation.

If an unoccupied Zone is selected the display will show
the message:
Not enrolled Not enrolled
5 Activate the Wireless Sensor (refer to "Testing the
Reception of Wireless Sensors") then check the test
result on the display:
Good Good
= the placement is suitable
Bad Bad
= move Wireless Sensor to another location

then repeat step 5 until three Good results in a row are obtained, then

to go to the next device to be tested (step 4).
7 Repeat steps 4 through 6 until all the devices have been tested, then press

to go back to step 3.
Wireless Sensors that produce bad results must be moved to another location:
sometimes a matter of a few inches can correct a bad result.

Do not mount Wireless Sensors in locations that produce bad results.
If several devices produce “Bad” results, it may be necessary to move the Re-
ceiver to another location (refer to “Choosing a Mounting Location” for instruc-
tions).
