The control unit can be equipped with a safety radio receiver
RB3 CSM868AD1. The safety transmitter RB3 T868 must be
used as a radio transmitter. If the radio modules are used, al-
ways observe the manufacturer-specific instructions.
The radio receivers comply with the Radio Equipment Directive
2014/53/EU. The full text of the EU declaration of conformity is
available at the following web address:
If retrofitting a safety radio receiver, you first need to install a
receiver PCB on the PCB of the master control unit. To do so, it
is necessary to disconnect the entire door control unit from the
main power supply. Plug the radio receiver PCB onto the X5 slot
at the top left of the control unit as shown in the adjacent dia-
gram. Make sure that the PCB is properly aligned!
Function
The RB3 T868 must be used as a safety radio transmitter. The signal transmitters must meet Performance Level “c” in combination
with the safety radio transmitter. The safety edge is connected at input IN1. An 8k2 edge (SW1:1 Off, SW1:2 Off) or an OSE-S 7502
edge (SW1:1 On, SW1:2 Off) can be connected. If the signal input is unoccupied, the LED B1 will be off. If the safety radio transmit-
ter is triggered, this will be indicated by ≡SE in the control unit for input In1, and the LED B1 will illuminate.
The input IN1 is linked to SE1. Parameter P.4E3 also affects IN1.
The slack rope switch and the wicket door switch are connected at input IN2. Cable monitoring is not required if fixed cable laying
is performed (SW1:3 On). If cable monitoring is required, the overall resistance of the input must be 8k2 (SW1:3 Off). If input IN2 is
not used set SW1:3 On and connect a jumper between IN2 and GND. If the signal input is unoccupied, the LED B2 will be off.
The input IN2 is linked to SE2. Parameter P.4F4 also affects IN2.
If the safety radio transmitter is triggered, this will be indicated by SE≡ in the control unit for input IN2, and the LED B1 will illumin-
ate.
Programming the safety transmitter
Select the required mode by pressing and holding the PROG button on the safety radio receiver RB3 CSM868AD1. The LED B1
and LED B2 display changes when the PROG button is pressed. Select mode 4; the LED B1 and the LED B2 will flash.
Deleting the safety transmitter
Set a jumper to contact MR. The LEDs will flash and the safety radio receiver will beep. The safety transmitter will be deleted after
10 s.
Maintenance
Refer to the instructions for the safety transmitter.
DIP switch
The DIP switches SW1:1 and SW1:2 are set to Off.
Activating the safety radio receiver
In order to be able to use the safety radio receiver, P.803:1 must be set.
