Red Common Color Gamut
Gc Green Common Color Gamut
Bc
Blue Common Color Gamut
Wc White Common Color Gamut
The following parameters can be adjusted within DynaColor™:
•
the x, y coordinates and L (Light Output) of the 6 Common Color Gamut perimeter points.
•
the x, y coordinates and L (Light Output) of the White point of the Common Color Gamut.
The Dynacolor™ Interface
Field / item
Description
Measured values
The coordinates in the CIE Chromaticity diagram and luminance of the
native
primary colors
of the projector as they have been measured in ideal conditions in
the factory.
Only Barco engineers may change these values.
X and Y coordinates
Coordinates in the CIE Chromaticity diagram
Red, Green, Blue, White
Native primary colors and native white of the projector
L value
Luminance (relative value)
White L
White luminance = Red + Blue + Green luminance (relative value)
Desired values
Description
Desired values
The coordinates in the CIE Chromaticity diagram and luminance of the
desired
primary and secondary colors
of the projector.
Only Barco engineers may
change these values to force a common color triangle; Barco trained and
quali
fi
ed engineers may also change the X and Y coordinates of the white
point to
fi
ne tune the colors.
X and Y coordinates
Coordinates in the CIE Chromaticity diagram
Red, Green, Blue, White
Desired primary colors and desired white of the projector
Cyan, Yellow, Magenta
Desired secondary colors of the projector
L value
Luminance (relative value)
Lmax value
Maximum available luminance (relative value)
Button
Description
Default desired
Uses the Measured parameters to calculate and
fi
ll out the Desired values.
In case of SIM 7Q HB or SIM 7Q HB&C, this command also sets the white point to
the default white point (x = 0.306, y = 0.382) to avoid the greenish perception of the
projector’s native white point.
Factory Preset
Overwrites the Measured parameters by the factory measured values.
Maximum white
(only available in case of SIM 7Q HB or SIM 7Q HB&C)
Uses the Measured parameters to calculate the Desired values without correction
for the white point. In this state, the white point is slightly greenish.
Calibration
Starts the native primary color and native white color calibration procedure.
Only
Barco engineers may perform a calibration.
A professional spectrometer and
ideal measurement conditions are required to achieve a good calibration. Improper
calibration seriously affects the performance of the projector. See the SIM 7 service
manual for the detailed calibration procedure.
