Hardware Identification

DENTIFICATION
There are a number of different types of hardware that will hold your loom
together. The following chart will help you familiarize yourself with the types
of hardware you will encounter.
Figure 4 - Hex Bolt
These always get a
washer between the
head of the bolt and the
wood.
Figure 5 - Carriage
Bolt
These never get a
washer between the
head of the bolt and the
wood.
Figure 6 - Flat Head
Machine Screw
You may not have
machine screws
depending on the
options of your loom.

Figure 8 - Hex
Nut
These always
have a washer
between the nut
and the wood and
they attach to
hex bolts or
carriage bolts.

Square Nut
These always go
in a nut access
hole. They attach
with no washer
between the nut
and the wood, to
hex bolts.

Wing Nut
These always
have a washer
between the nut
and the wood.
They attach to
carriage bolts.
