Connecting Network Cables with a 1 Gb System Director Connection

To cable the ISIS 2000 system using 1 Gb port:
1. Connect a CAT 5e or CAT 6 Ethernet cable to the lower right-hand 1 Gb port on the rear of
the System Director. No other 1 Gb port on the System Director has been configured for this
connection.
System Director’s 1 Gb Connection
2. Connect the other end of your network cable to the appropriate port on your ISIS 2000
switch.
The following example shows the physical connections between a System Director, Engine,
and a Force10 S4810 switch.

1 Gb Ethernet
1 Gb connection
