8. Repeat step 7 until all the users have been added.
9. With a User Name selected, select or start typing the name of the workspace you want
shared in the Workspace Name text box.
10. Type the name you want display on the CIFS client in the CIFS Share Name text box.
11. Click Add CIFS.
12. Continue with setting the permissions.
To set CIFS user permissions:
1. Open the Configuration Editor (if not already open), click Start > Programs > Avid > ISIS
File Gateway and select Configuration Editor.
2. Select a user in the left pane and one or more workspaces in the right pane.
3. Set the permissions using the Access Selection menu:
- None — no access
- Full — read, change, and full control
- Read — read permission
- Read/Write — read and change permission
4. Click Set Access.
5. Repeat steps 2 and 4 until permission have been set for all users.
6. Click Save.
The file is read immediately and you do not need to restart the System Director.
7. Click the Close button (X) in the corner of the windows to exit the application.
To set multiple user permissions to a single workspace:
1. Open the Configuration Editor (if not already open), click Start > Programs > Avid > ISIS
File Gateway and select Configuration Editor.
2. Click CIFS Share View.
3. Select a workspace in the left pane and one or more users in the right pane.
4. Set the permissions using the Access Selection menu:
- None — no access
- Full — read, change, and full control
- Read — read permission
- Read/Write — read and change permission
5. Click Set Access.
6. Repeat steps 3 and 5 until permission have been set for all workspaces.
