To use the
CMD PING
command, at the @ prompt, enter:
CMD x PING y
Enter
where
x
is: the slot number in which the LAN card is installed
where
y
is: the IP address of the device to which the test ethernet packet is sent
.

The CMD PING
command sends a low-level ethernet packet to the address specified. The receiver
replies with a ping-response packet. An example of a ping success follows.
