Starting a telnet session
1. Start a PuTTy session.
2. Under Host Name , enter
192.11.13.6
as the IP address.
3. Under Connection type , select telnet .
4. Under Window , select Translation .
5. Under Received data assumed to be in which character set in the drop-down
menu, select UTF-8 from the list.
6. Click Open to open a PuTTy session.
Disabling proxy servers in Firefox
To connect directly to the Services port, you must disable the proxy server that exist within your
Firefox Web browser.
1. Open your Internet browser.
2. Click Tools > Options .
3. Select the Advanced option.
4. Click the Network tab.
5. Click Settings .
6. Select the No proxy option. Deselect the option when you are done to enable the
proxy server.
7. Click OK to close each dialog box.
