WARNING
NEVER
ADD
PURE
ACID.
USE
DISTILLED
OR
DEMINERALIZED
WATER.
1- Connect the suction device pipe to the rigid tube coming from the bottom of the tray and rising
above the battery cells.
2- Draw the water by pressing and releasing the bulb.
3- Leave the battery in the open air to dry and wipe with a clean and non-fluffy rag.
STORAGE OUTSIDE
When the battery is not used, it is essential to
store it charged in a clean and dry and frost
free room. The battery can be stored at an
ambient temperature of 30°C without upkeep.
For storage outside, at temperatures of less
than 0°C, check the density of the electrolyte
so as to avoid reaching the freezing point.
FREEZING POINT
Ex: When the electrolyte of the battery has a
density of 1.075, its freezing point is -5°C.
When the battery is completely charged, the
density of the electrolyte is about 1.28, in
other words its freezing point is -85°C.
Therefore the more the battery is charged the
less there is a risk of freezing.
- NB -
It is indispensable that the battery be completely charged when you work in cold room or
outside in extreme cold.
RECOMMENDATIONS FOR USE
- Never leave the machine at standstill with
the battery uncharged.
- The temperature of the cells must be less
than 45°C during charging. Thermal runaway
can cause damage to the battery.
- Read the voltages and the densities of the
electrolyte at least once a month. A correct
measurement must be made immediately
after charging. The density of the electrolyte
makes
it
possible
to
determine
the
charging
state
of
the
battery.
