RISK OF CRUSHING
- THERE IS A RISK OF SERIOUS,
POSSIBLY FATAL, INJURY IF THE
PLATFORM COMES INTO CONTACT

OBSTACLE OR IN THE COURSE OF
THE MACHINE COMMAND.

PLATFORM AND AN OBSTACLE.

THE MACHINE

2.4. RISK OF FALL
You must take all necessary precautions to avoid falling from the
aerial work platform
especially if the latter is elevated.
Before entering the aerial work platform, be sure that the floor
and your shoes are clean and free of dirt which could cause you
to slip.
In the aerial work platform, keep both feet completely flat on the
floor. Never climb on the
guardrails or on any other object present
in the aerial work platform.
Never enter or quit the work platform other than in low position.
Moreover, it is advisable to strap yourself in with the safety
harness to avoid any risk of falling.
2.5. RISK OF CRUSHING
Always remain aware of your environment during
use of the machine. You must be able to see
the environment underneath, above, on the side,
in front and behind the aerial work platform during
all operations of movement, rotation, translation,
elevation or lowering. If it is impossible to have a
clear view of the evolution area of the machine, it
is essential to let yourself be guided by another
person located on the ground.
2.6. RISK OF ELECTROCUTION
Before moving the work platform under electric
lines, be sure of sufficient clearance in height.
In case of contact of the platform with a source of
electricity, the operator must evacuate the
personnel around the machine. Never leave
anyone using the emergency station without the
authorization of the operator. The operator must
try to disengage the machine with the controls
situated in the aerial work platform. If the operator
cannot disengage the platform, it is essential to
switch off the source of electricity.
In case of contact with a live source of electricity, it
is essential after this incident to have the machine
checked and eventually repaired by the
manufacturer.
