1.4.2 BASKET SUPPORT
The basket is maintained on the support by two U clamps. As for the support, it is secured on the
arm and the tie-rod by two spindles.
All the hydraulic and electric controls are fixed on the
support as well as the load limiter (mechanical
overload) and its electrical adjustment box.
The only upkeep needed for the
mechanical overload is a slight greasing,
however precautions in use are to be taken, for a mere shock could hinder the adjustment of the
overload detection which could cause serious even fatal injury.
ADJUSTMENT OF THE OVERLOAD DETECTION PRECISION
- check that the basket is correctly tightened.
- place in the basket a load of 200 Kg centered and flat against the entry plinth.
- screw or unscrew the adjustment screw until detection becomes hesitant.
- then check the adjustment by removing (no cut-out) and repositioning the load (immediate cut-
out).
- 15% of error is admissible, which means that maximum load in the basket is 230Kg.
1.5. STRUCTURE
The structure of the apparatus is in welded steel with special profiles and steels of specific grades.
One cannot therefore replace or modify elements of this structure without the agreement of the
Company. It is advisable to make a six monthly visual inspection of the various elements,
with a view to revealing possible defects.
