Apart from the lubrication of the fixed cage, no specific upkeep has to be made. It is however
necessary to control the cylinder shank:
- possible presence of rust
- possible presence of scratches in which case there is a risk of wear of the seals, therefore leaks
- possible presence of leaks in which case it is imperative to change the seals
1.2.2 MOBILE CAGES
The only upkeep needed for the three mobile
cages is a slight greasing of the friction
surfaces with the ends of the rollers without
overrun on the rolling surfaces. Moreover, it is
important to keep the inside of the elements of
the mast clean.
ADJUSTMENT OF THE ROLLERS
Check and adjust the transversal clearance of the mast
elements.
1- Loosen the counter-nuts of the roller pins.
2- Reduce the clearance by successively tightening the
roller pins. Do not eliminate the clearance completely.
-NB-
It is important to leave some clearance between the conic bearing surfaces of the rollers
and the friction surfaces so that the system functions correctly.

3- Tighten the counter nuts to approximately 100 Nm torque (10mkg).
4- Lubricate the inside of the profiles of the mast elements.
5- Make several UP/DOWN movements of the mast with the smallest possible load in the basket,
so as to eliminate possible jamming.
