Helpful Information
•
Your FreeStyle Navigator system needs minimal maintenance aside from cleaning and battery
replacement.
•
Avoid getting dust, dirt, blood, control solution, water, or any other substance in the receiver’s test
strip port.
•
Keep your receiver in its protective carrying case when you are not using it.
Note: Your transmitter and receiver cannot be repaired when broken.
•
The transmitter should be removed from the sensor support mount and cleaned each time you
remove a used sensor (every 5 days).
•
Contact your healthcare team or Customer Care when you need to replace your transmitter or
receiver. They will suggest a proper way to dispose of the old parts.
•
Your transmitter has a life of 2 years from the date of first use. Replace the transmitter after
that time period.
• Do
NOT use adhesive remover wipes or solutions containing ether or ether-containing
components for cleaning or removing residual adhesive from the transmitter or receiver. These
solutions can damage the casing of the receiver and transmitter.
