7.3 Attachment of the TMSO.CU
The TMSO.CU can be attached in 2 ways.
Similar to the TMSO.IM, use the supplied screws to screw the unit to a tree or branch.
It is not necessary to use all screw holes in the mounting plate, usually 1 screw is
already sufficient, if necessary 2 screws.
For this purpose look for a place on the trunk that is as flat as possible. If the TMSO.CU
is also to function as a control sensor it must not move. Otherwise you don't have to
put any special effort into it.
CAUTION!
The screws should NOT be tightened as much as possible as this could damage the
mounting plate! It is sufficient to tighten it finger-tight. When using a cordless driver drill
do not start with the highest setting but tighten at a low setting and increase force only
if the device does not yet hold securely!
The TMSO.CU can also be attached to a metal pole or similar using one of the supplied
lashing straps. To do so the belt is pulled through the corresponding openings in the
mounting plate as follows and then placed around the mast and tightened:
