XDS

Series

[SOURce:]VOLTage:PROTection[:LEVel]

This command programs the OVP trip level of the power supply.

The OVP trip level is set as a percentage of voltage range. Allowable range is 0 to 110%. If the
output voltage exceeds the set trip level and the OVP mode is enabled, the power supply will
generate a -300, Device specific error and turn off the output. The mode is enabled with the
VOLT:PROT:STAT command. The OVP mode provides another level of protection in addition to the
volt:high user setting which prevents programming commands or front panel inputs above this level
to be accepted. The OVP function is based on the measured output voltage rather than the
programmed output value.

This command enables or disables the OVP mode of the power supply.

The OVP mode state may be set using this command. If the output voltage exceeds the set trip level
and the OVP mode is enabled, the power supply will generate a -300, Device specific error and turn
off the output. If the OVP mode is disabled, nothing will happen. Valid parameters are 0 for OVP off
and 1 for OVP on.
