DESMONTAJE BARRA PORTARRUEDA – BOTELLA
Lea con cuidado pág. 9-10 (ACEITE PARA HORQUI-
LLA), pág. 9-15 (PRECAUCIONES E INFORMACIO-
NES GENERALES) y pág. 9-39 (INSPECCION SUS-
PENSION DELANTERA).
Las operaciones marcadas con el símbolo
“
✱
” tienen validez incluso para la sustitución
del aceite horquilla.
La barra portarrueda – botella derecha e iz-
quierda tienen en su interior los mismos com-
ponentes.
Las operaciones que siguen a continuación se refie-
ren a una sola barra portarrueda – botella, sin embar-
go tienen validez para ambas.

Desmonte el grupo barra portarrueda – botella, véa-
se pág. 9-139 (DESMONTAJE BARRAS PORTA-
RRUEDA – BOTELLAS).

Limpie con cuidado toda la barra portarrueda – bo-
tella.
Antes de seguir adelante con las operaciones
descritas a continuación equípese con las co-
rrespondientes herramientas especiales

(A), (B),
(C) y con un recipiente de recogida con capacidad
superior a 450 cm
!
.
Hay que poner mucho cuidado durante la ope-
ración de desmontaje.

Gire del todo en sentido antihorario el regulador su-
perior de tornillo (1) para disminuir el frenado hidráuli-
co en extensión.
◆
✱
Gire el anillo de retén (2).
◆
✱
Destornille y quite el regulador (3).
◆
✱
Extraiga el empujador (4) de precarga muelle.
◆
✱
Coloque la barra portarrueda en una morsa interpo-
niendo los dos semicascos de la herramienta especial
(C).
El grupo barra portarrueda – botella está lleno
de aceite; no lo vuelque, ni lo incline excesiva-
mente durante el desmontaje.

Afloje el tapón superior botella (5).
◆
✱
Saque de la morsa la barra portarrueda – botella.
◆
✱
Manteniendo la barra portarrueda – botella en posi-
ción vertical, desenrosque del todo el tapón superior
botella (5).
◆
✱
Destornille y quite de la herramienta (A) la espiga
roscada (A1).
◆
✱
Coloque la parte fija de la herramienta (A) sobre el
tubo aprieta-muelle (6) de manera que la muesca en-
tre en el agujero.
◆
✱
Coloque la espiga roscada (A1) en el agujero sobre
la parte fija de la herramienta (A) asegurándose de
que, atornillándola completamente, entre en el aguje-
ro.
DISASSEMBLING THE WHEEL-HOLDER TUBE -
SLIDER UNIT
Carefully read p. 9-12 (FORK OIL), p. 9-16 (PRECAU-
TIONS AND GENERAL INFORMATION) and p. 9-39
(INSPECTING THE FRONT SUSPENSION).
The operations marked with the symbol “

are valid also for the fork oil change.
The right and left wheel-holder tube - slider
units have the same inner components.
The operations described below are referred to a sin-
gle wheel-holder tube - slider unit, but are valid for
both.

Remove the wheel-holder tube - slider unit, see
p. 9-139 (REMOVING THE WHEEL-HOLDER TUBE –
SLIDER UNITS).

✱
Carefully clean the whole wheel-holder tube - slider
unit.
Before proceeding with the following opera-
tions, prepare the appropriate special tools
-
(A), (B), (C) and a container with capacity exceed-
ing 450 cu.cm.
The disassembly must be performed very
carefully.

✱
Rotate the upper screw adjuster (1) completely anti-
clockwise, in order to reduce the hydraulic braking with
extended unit.
◆
✱
Remove the stop ring (2).
◆
✱
Unscrew and remove the adjusting element (3).
◆
✱
Withdraw the spring preload pushing element (4).
◆
✱
Position the wheel-holder tube - slider unit on a vice,
interposing the two half-shells of the special tool (C).
The wheel-holder tube - slider unit is full of oil;
do not overturn or incline it excessively dur-
ing disassembly.

✱
Loosen the slider upper plug (5).
◆
✱
Remove the wheel-holder tube - slider unit from the
vice.
◆
✱
Keeping the wheel-holder tube - slider unit in vertical
position, unscrew the slider upper plug (5) completely.
◆
✱
Unscrew and remove the threaded pin (A1) from the
tool (A).
◆
✱
Position the fixed part of the tool (A) on the spring
pressing tube (6), so that the tooth fits in the hole.
◆
✱
Position the threaded pin (A1) in the hole on the
fixed part of the tool (A), making sure that when
screwed completely it fits in the hole.
