System features

Setting the Link

1. Press 

the 

 hard key.

2. 

Choose “System features”.

3. Press 

the 

 key.

4. 

Choose “Connection control”.

5. Press 

the 

 key.

The connection control screen is displayed.

From this screen you can determine how the asynchronous link (ACL) will operate. The
choices are:

•

  “ACL connection only”

•

  “ACL connection & features”

•

  “Disconnect from EUT”

•

  “Make me an EUT” - You can make the MT8850A/MT8852A behave as

equipment under test. This means that it is page scanning with test mode
enabled.

•

  “Inquiry scan on” - The Inquiry feature allows the instrument to respond to an

inquiry from another device. It is especially useful for synchronizing with some
Bluetooth protocol analyzers. The protocol analyzer can then monitor the
messages between the MT8850A/MT8852A and the EUT.
