Setting Up the Signal Generator
The signal generator allows you to define and generate a continuously modulated
Bluetooth signal. The signal generator is switched on using the [
Enable ] soft key and
switched off using the [ Exit ] soft key or pressing the button. The signal
generator parameters can be changed when required.
1. Press the hard key.
2. Choose “MT8850A/MT8852A”.
3. Press the key.
4. Choose “Signal generator”.
5. Press the key.
The MT8850A/MT8852A Signal generator screen is displayed.
You can switch the modulating bit pattern between 10101010, 11110000, PRBS9,
PRBS15, and CW, where CW is an unmodulated carrier wave.
•
“RF power” can be switched ON or OFF.
•
“Channel number” can be in the range -2 to 80. This can also be entered as a
frequency depending on how the test script operation has been set up.
•
“Modulation index” can be in the range 0.2 to 0.4.
•
“Sig gen power level” range from 0 to -90 dBm.
6. Select the item that you want to change.
7. Repeatedly press the key until the required value is displayed or enter a
value using the keypad as appropriate.
