Press the MS8608A/MS8609A Preset key.

Operate All Cal.

Set the MS8608A/MS8609A as shown below:
Center Freq .............................................. 50 MHz
Span ........................................................ 200 kHz

Set the signal generator MG3633A as shown below:
OUTPUT FREQ ...................................... 50 MHz
OUTPUT LEVEL ................................. –10 dBm

Set the amount of attenuation of the attenuator MN510C to 0 dB.

Connect the output of the attenuator MN510C to the power meter via coaxial cable.

Adjust the signal-generator output level so that the indicated value of the power meter is -
10.0 dBm.

Connect the coaxial cable of the attenuator output to the spectrum analyzer RF Input.

Press the

CF key.

Set the reference level to –10 dBm and attenuation to 50 dB.

Read the marker level.

Set Reference Level, RF ATT of this device and the external ATT as shown in the table on the
next page, and read the level of each marker.

Find the error by the formula below:
Error = marker readout - Reference Level - correction factor of attenuator

Find the deviation by the formula below:
Deviation = Error - error when RF ATT at 10 dB
