Protected Setup Pages
The Protected Setup page (FIG. 50) provides secured access to advanced panel configuration options,
including communication and security settings.
Enter the factory default password ( 1988) into the password keypad to access this page.
Features on the Protected Setup page include:

Back: Saves all changes and returns to the previous page.
Connection Status icon: The icon in the upper-right corner of each Setup page shows online/offline state
of the panel to the master.
• Bright red - disconnected
• Bright green - connected. Blinks when a blink message is received to dark
green every 5 seconds for half a second then go back to bright green.
• Bright yellow - panel missed a blink message from the master. It will remain
yellow for 3 missed blink messages and then turn red. It will return to green
when a blink message is received.
Note : a Lock appears on the icon if the panel is connected to a secured NetLinx
Master.
Navigation Buttons: The buttons along on the left side of the page provide access to secondary

Protected Setup pages (see following sections).
Device Information The fields and buttons in this section control the device name and number

information.
• Device Number - opens a keypad used to view/set the device number of the
panel.
• Device Name - Opens a keypad used to view/set the device name of the
panel
• Synchronize Panel Names - Synchronizes the Device Name, IP Hostname,
and G4 Web Control Name. When synchronizing other names to the Device
Name, this opens a Confirmation Dialogue asking "Are you sure you want to
do this?"
- Pressing Yes synchronizes the names.
- Pressing No returns you to the Protected Setup page.
