Keeping connected to Amserve
The
e-m@iler
will automatically detect if there is a problem which has prevented it from
making email calls for a number of days (for example, if the
e-m@iler
is not connected
to a suitable telephone line or exchange). Note that the
e-m@iler
must
keep in regular
contact with Amserve so that any new email (and/or software update) can be collected
as soon as it becomes available.
If your
e-m@iler
has not made recent contact with Amserve, the message:
Hold down [EMAIL] button to restore service
will appear on the standby
display. Make sure all telephone connections and settings are OK, then hold down the
button (for approx 5 seconds) until
Dialling for email
is displayed. After
the
e-m@iler
has made a successful email call to restore service, the above message
will no longer appear on the standby display.
Note – your
e-m@iler
will not operate until it has made a successful email call to
restore service. You will not be able to make outgoing phone calls and you will
not be able to answer incoming phone calls.
