Be particularly careful when cutting
“pockets” in existing walls or other sur-
faces that you cannot see behind.
As the
diamond disk cuts into the surface it may collide
with gas or water pipes, electric cables or other
objects and cause kickback.
▸
Ensure that the accessory tools are fitted
according to the manufacturer’s instruc-
tions. Once fitted, the accessory tools
must be able to turn freely.
Incorrectly
mounted accessory tools may come loose during
work and be ejected.
▸
Handle the diamond disk carefully and
store it according to the manufacturer’s
instructions.
Damaged diamond disks can be-
come cracked and then shatter during working.
▸
Do not cut any asbestos containing ma-
terials.
Asbestos is carcinogenic.
▸
Use an extraction system, frequently
blow the ventilation slots clear and
connect a residual-current device (RCD)
upstream.
Under extreme conditions, conduc-
tive dust may be deposited inside the power tool
when metal is being cut. The protective insulation
of the power tool may be impaired.
▸
It is forbidden to screw or rivet signs and
markings onto the power tool.
Damaged
insulation provides no protection against electric
shocks. Use stickers.
▸
Always work with the auxiliary handle.
The auxiliary handle ensures reliable guidance of
the power tool.
▸
Check the diamond disk prior to use.
Use
only undamaged diamond disks.
▸
Once fitted, the diamond disk must be
able to turn freely.
Carry out a 30-second
test run with the new diamond disk. Use only
true-running diamond disks.
