Installation
To disconnect a handpiece:
9. Place the handpiece in the handpiece holder (see Figure 3-6).
10. Verify that the support arm is raised high enough to enable you to open the
control panel without dislodging the handpiece from its holder.
11. Open the system control panel to access to the handpiece connection port.
12. Lift the locking handle of the handpiece connector, and disengage its hook
from the fastener pin of the port, as shown in Figure 3-9.
13. Pull the handpiece connector out of the port (see Figure 3-8).
3.8. Connecting the Dummy Handpiece Connector
Refer to Figure 3-13:
The dummy handpiece connector ( A ) acts as a bypass, which enables the system to
operate with only one handpiece connected.

Under normal conditions both handpieces should be connected to the system. If for
any reason the second handpiece is not available, the dummy handpiece connector
must be connected to the handpiece connection port, in place of the missing
handpiece (

).
Instructions on connecting the dummy handpiece connector are identical to those of
Connecting the Handpiece, as described in Section 3.7.
