Expresso Tie Stall

The 72560 Expresso is made to work with 24 VDC power. The PCB output is near the same as
the power supply input. To properly function, the power to the detacher must be within the
operating range of the 24VDC + or –
10%
with NO AC ripple present. To achieve maintaining
this +
-
10% operating range it is recommend to set the power supply to 26 VDC.
The installer must ensure that the voltage delivered to the stall furthest from the
power supply when fully loaded is adequate in all
circumstances (see above).
It is the installers
’
responsibility to properly regulate the input voltage to achieve the desired
output voltage for the valves used. AIC is not responsible for valve or pulsator coils that may
burn out due to high or low 72560 (MS 34) PC board out voltages.
Ensure that the existing power supplies are of adequate power rating.
AIC is not
responsible for damages or losses incurred by poorly
functioning power supplies. Solid connections are absolutely
necessary to assure no electrical shorts will occur.
*****In all cases, follow local electrical codes and
safety regulations at all times. *****
Do not exceed the manufacturers recommended power ratings
of the power supply used.
When selecting a power supply there may be several alternatives available. A dedicated power
supply is recommended. When connecting to the power supply follow the step by step procedures.
Step 1:
When finding a location to mount the power supply, attention should be given to minimize
the length of the wires connected to the output circuit.
Step 2:
A qualified electrician should install the power supply according to local and national codes.
The power supply should be connected to the incoming power source with a dedicated 240
or 120 VAC circuit.
Step 3:
Locate the output terminals on the power supply.
Step 4:
In tie stall installations, the output power wires will be hooked to the stall cocks.
Step 5:
On 10amp or lower circuits, it is recommended to use no smaller than 14 gauge stranded
wire from the power supply to the stall cocks and the 14 gauge wire looped back to the
power supply. On 10
-
20amp circuits it is recommended to use no smaller than 12 gauge
stranded wire and the 12 gauge wire looped back to the power supply.
