During Milking
:
To milk the cow in the automatic sensing mode
.
Press the right switch to milk in automatic sensing mode. Milk the cow. If, Detacher equipped,
milker unit will be detached after the end of milk delay. If not detacher equipped the end of milking
lights will flash after the milk flow drops below the end of milk flow rate and after the end of milk
delay is expired the lights will be on continually. Detach the milking unit when the lights are on
solid.
To milk the cow in the manual (end of milk sensing disabled mode)
After pressing right switch to enter the automatic sensing mode, press the left switch to enter the
manual mode. (In manual mode the, end of milking detach will not occur therefore, the operator
must move back into the automatic sensing mode.)
Light Operation:
There are three lights located on the top portion of the 72560 control. The two in the upper corners
are red and the center light is yellow. The two Red lights are milk flow indicator/retract lights and
the center Yellow light is a caution/manual light.
Red Lights:
Will flash when milk flow is below the detach flow rate established in the set
-
up. The red lights are
on continually when the unit is in the detached/not milking mode.
Yellow Light:
The yellow light will flash as a caution when the milk temperature recorded exceeds the
temperature threshold established in the set
-
up, when the milk conductivity exceeds the
conductivity threshold established in the set
-
up and if the milk flow didn
’
t get established before
the first milk let
-
down delay expires (premature take
-
off). When the yellow light is on the
corresponding text on the display will flash. For example if the milk temperature exceeds the set
-
up
threshold the yellow light will come and the milk temperature will flash.
For Washing and Downloading Data
:
When used with tie stall/stanchion barn detacher components the 72560 must be hooked to a
vacuum source for washing. It is not necessary to hook
-
up power, however if power is applied
during wash then to enter the wash mode press and hold the left manual switch. The display will
show maximum temperature the wash water reaches during wash. It also displays the amount of
time the unit has exceeded the wash water threshold temperature. The unit will also download the
stored data, wirelessly to the network with systems using the wireless Tracker Air.
Set
-
up should be done by a qualified technician. To maintain consistent milking all the units
on the dairy should be set
-
up the same.
