7 General description of functions
7.1 Modular concept
The sprayer can be manufactured to customer specifications and requirements for various
application methods. It can be designed with a top or bottom hinge, or with connections into a 3-
point hitch for following tracks. It can also be designed as an upper hinge with manual or
automatic track following (articulated drawbar).
Attention!
For sprayers of type ALKA 2500 liters, track following occurs from boom span of 15 meters or
more.
The axle may be fixed or swivel and can be fitted with farm or floatation tires of different sizes
and different gauges.
7.2 Tanks
7.2.1 Alka
Main tank from PE or GFK, with wavebreakers or without, tank capacity 2500 liters (+ 10%
extra)
PE fresh water tank 380 liters
PE tank for washing hands 15 liters
7.2.2 NAPA
Main tank from PE or GFK, with wavebreakers or without, tank capacity 3200 liters or 3800 liters
(+10% extra)
PE fresh water tank 380 liters
PE tank for washing hands 15 liters
7.3 Pumps
The options for piston diaphragm spray pump type depend on the size of the tank, the working
span of the booms, and the selection of high spray doses. The pump is driven from the tractor's
drive shaft.
7.4 Filling
Using fix-loc (kamloc), or C-coupling connectors, the spray tank can be filled in different ways:
Standard equipment

through the tank's main cap
Optional equipment
- external filling 2" with valve, check valve, without connector
- 2" suction hose without connector 6 m, 8 m or 10 m
- stainless steel aerial filter 2" or 3" without connection (only to the machine)
- Connector B (3"), C (2") FixLoc 2", FixLoc 3"
- Plastic filling filter 3" for external filling
