Setting the correct nozzle pressure
After the tank is filled about half full with water (never use spray mix), unfold the booms into
working position. Start spraying (see Chapter 9).
Visually check for fluid leaks and clogged nozzles. If necessary, clean the nozzle using an air
pistol or a brush for cleaning nozzles.
Then replace the worn nozzles with new ones.
Set the nozzle and the desired pressure according to the nozzle table.
Set the pressure at the nozzle only when the spray is on. Let the fluid spray into the calibrated
vessel for 1 minute. Adjust the fluid pressure using the switch (Figure 6/1 No. 2); the switch (1)
must be on manual control.
If the measured amount does not correspond to the calculation, you may use another method:

Fill the tank to the specific value at the watermark (the watermark is only an approximate
value).

Or measure the tank fill by weighing the sprayer (weighing is more accurate).
Over a 100 m track, spray at the selected speed and pressure at a constant engine RPM. The
applied amount is then determined by weighing, or by refilling through the flow meter to the
original level.
The applied dose/ha is determined by the following formula:
Consumption (l) on the test track x 10,000 (m²/ha)
Dose l/ha = ----------------------------------------------------------
Length of the test track (m) x working width (m)
After this determination, the observed deviation from the desired dose must be adjusted by
changing the pressure and repeating the measurement until the desired dose is achieved.
The time required for this method is significantly longer.
With a properly set spraying pressure, and by maintaining the given speed, the sprayer is able to
spray the exact required dose.
