Create Experiment
Click the NovoExpress software icon on the Desktop or click
Start
>
Program
>
NovoExpress
to start the NovoExpress software.
Once the NovoExpress software has started, a new NovoCyte Quanteon
experiment file with the default file name of
untitled.ncf
will be created. The
extension name of
.ncf
indicates that the file is a NovoCyte Quanteon experiment
file. Click the
Next Sample
button on
Cytometer Control
panel to create a new
sample to start the experiment.
Figure 40 shows the NovoExpress software interface. The status bar indicates that
the instrument is properly connected and is
Ready
to use. The
Experiment
Manager
displays
untitled.ncf
as a new experiment file. Click the menu
File
>
Save
or icon to save the file to the specified folder. When you save, the NovoExpress
software will name the file according to the date and time when the file is created,
with a default format of
yymmdd_hhmm.ncf
. For example, a
180608_1035.ncf
file
indicates that the file is generated at 10:35 on December 8, 2018. Users can
change the file name and the directory when saving the experiment file. In this
example, an experiment file with the name of
TBNK.ncf
will be created.
