Replacing an Analog (Input) Board
Th e an alog boar d (L4532A) or boar ds (L4534A) can be r emoved wit h all
ot her in ter ior assemblies in p lace, an d wit hout r emovin g th e r ear p an el.
To r emove t he an alog boar d:

Remove all cables from t he exter ior of t he in str u men t, an d r emove t he
cover (see
Removin g th e Cover
on page 82).

Remove t he two 14 mm n u ts (wit h ser r ated met al grommets) fr om t he
an alog board 's BNC con n ector s.

Remove th e six # 10 Tor x roun d head scr ews hold in g th e an alog boar d
t o r iser s on th e chassis an d d igit al boar d.

Gr asp t he an alog boar d by th e edges, avoidin g t ouchin g electr ical
comp on en ts or tr aces on t he boar d. Car efu lly p u ll u p, disen gagin g t he
con n ector on t he backside of t he boar d (below t hick black an d whit e
bar dr awn on th e p hoto) from its matin g con n ect or on t he d igit al
boar d. Slid e t he boar d t oward t he fr on t pan el so th at th e BNC
con n ect or s (with r ubber O- r in gs) clear, an d lift ou t.

O-rings
To r ein st all an an alog boar d, r ever se t hese step s.
Remove the O-rings from the old analog channel board and transfer them to the
new analog board. The O-rings are installed on the BNC connectors such that the
O-rings will be inside the instrument rear panel.
Take car e to seat the BNC con n ector s (wit h O- r in gs) in th e r ear p an el
an d en gage t he con n ector to t he digit al boar d secur ely; t hen r ein st all t he
six scr ews an d secu r e t he BNCs wit h th e n u ts an d ser r ated gr ommets.
