Calibration Count

Calibration Security
Th is featu r e allows you to en ter a secu r ity cod e to p r even t acciden t al or
u n au th or ized adju stmen ts of t he digitizer. When you fir st r eceive your
d igitizer, it is secur ed . Befor e you can adju st t he digitizer, you mu st
u n secu r e it by en t er in g th e cor r ect secu r ity cod e.
Th e secu r ity code is set t o ATL4532 or ATL4534 wh en th e d igitizer is
ship p ed fr om th e factor y (d ep en din g on t he model). The secu r ity code
is stor ed in n on volatile memor y, an d does n ot chan ge when power
has been off, after a Fact or y Reset (
*RST
comman d ), or aft er an
digitizer Pr eset (
SYSTem:PRESet
comman d ).
The secu r ity cod e may con t ain up to u p t o 12 char act er s. You d o n ot
have t o u se all 12 char act er s bu t t he fir st char act er mu st always be a
lett er (A Z). The r emain in g 11 char acter s can be letter s, n u mber s
(0 9), or t he un der scor e char acter ("_"). Blan k sp aces ar e n ot allowed .
N O T E
The Calibration Count can be used to indicate that the digitizer calibration has
been tampered with. The calibration count is also incremented if the calibration
security code has been changed using the security bypass procedure (

Unsecure the digitizer Without the Security Code
on page 66).
N O T E
If you forget your security code, you can disable the security feature by following
the procedure below.
