Introduction
Display Messages
The backlit front-panel LCD display provides two lines which can display 16 characters each.
Top Display Line
The top line displays the instrument state:
IDLE

WFA

WFT
The d igitizer is ar med an d waitin g for tr igger.
ACQUIRING
The d igitizer has seen its tr igger even t an d is cu r r en tly

Measuring
The d igitizer is evaluatin g an on - boar d measur emen t.
DTR
The digitizer is tr an sfer r in g d at a.
SYSTEM ERROR

In normal operation, the rightmost three characters of the top line are reserved for annunciators:

During firmware updates the top line of the display displays
Updating
, and the bottom line
displays progress messages. These provide feedback that the digitizer has not stopped the update
process, since firmware updates may take several minutes.
