Hex Bus Pattern Triggering
You can specify a bus value on which to trigger. To do this, first
define the bus. See
“To display digital channels as a bus”
on
page 122 for details. You can trigger on a bus value whether you
are displaying the bus or not.
To trigger on a bus value:

Press the
Pattern
key on the front panel.

Press the
Channel
softkey and rotate the Entry knob to select
Bus1
or
Bus2
.

Press the
Digit
softkey and rotate the Entry knob to select a
digit of the selected bus.

Press the
Hex
softkey and rotate the Entry knob to select a
value for the digit.

You can use the
Set all Digits
softkey to set all digits to a
particular value.
When a hex bus digit contains one or more don’t care (X) bits
and one or more bit with a value or 0 or 1, the “$” sign will be
displayed for the digit.

N O T E
If a digit is made up of less than four bits, then the value of the digit will be
limited to the value that can be created by the selected bits.
