Playing a Waveform Sequence
You can play a waveform sequence or a waveform segment using this procedure. Both waveform types use
the same process.
If you have not created waveform segments and used them to build and store a waveform sequence,
complete the steps in the previous procedures,
“Creating Waveform Segments” on page 107
Waveform Sequence” on page 108
NOTE
A waveform segment must reside in volatile memory (WFM1) before it can be played
individually or as part of a waveform sequence. Refer to
from Non-Volatile Memory” on page 113
for more information.
1. Select a waveform sequence:
a. Press
Mode
>
Dual ARB
>
Select Waveform
.
b. Highlight a waveform sequence (for this example, FFWDCH_9) from the
Sequence
column of the
Select Waveform
catalog, and press
Select Waveform
.
The display shows the currently selected waveform (for example,
Selected Waveform:
SEQ:FFWDCH_9
).
2. Generate the waveform:
Press
ARB Off On
to On.
This plays the waveform sequence created in the previous procedures. During the waveform sequence
generation, the
ARB
and
I/Q
annunciator are displayed. The waveform is now modulating the RF carrier.
