Perform Steps Below in the Order Listed
1. Connect to the unit using the RJ-45
CRAFT
interface.
If you are not already connected to the unit’s
CRAFT
interface (either with a VT100 compatible
terminal or with a PC running VT100 emulation software), follow the procedure in DLP-001,
Connecting the Terminal or PC to the CRAFT Port
CRAFT
port interface limits the
config transfer procedure to XMODEM only.
2. Log in to the unit. (See DLP-002,
, for details.)
3. Go to the

YSTEM

TILITY
menu and select
C
ONFIG
T
RANSFER
menu; press <Enter>.
4. Set the
T
RANSFER
M
ETHOD
menu to
XMODEM
.
5. Select
S
AVE
C
ONFIG
R
EMOTELY
to start the transfers. Enter
Y
to confirm the transfer and prepare the
unit for the transfer download. The following message is displayed:
“This will begin sending a copy
of the current system configuration.”
When the unit is ready to send the configuration file, “
XMODEM/CRC: Receive CONFIG file
now...
” is displayed in the bottom left corner of the terminal window. While this message is visible the
menus are not available.
6. Configure the VT100 terminal or terminal emulation software to

ECEIVE
(you are prompted for
filename).
7. From the terminal evaluation software, begin the XMODEM transfer by using the appropriate
command sequence. For Windows HyperTerminal, select
T
RANSFER
>R
ECEIVE
F
ILE
. Enter the filename
(including path) and select
XMODEM
as the
T
RANSFER
M
ETHOD
.
If necessary, refer to the terminal emulation software documentation for help. Also, when specifying
the filename, ensure that the filed save a .cfg extension. Otherwise, the file may not be available for
uploading into the other units.
Because XMODEM data is being transferred in-band through the menu interface, the VT100 menus of
the unit will be inoperable from the
CRAFT
interface. You can cancel the update at any time within the
terminal emulation software. (Please consult the documentation provided by the terminal emulation
software to determine how to do this).
8. When the transfer has successfully completed,
