This chapter describes how to use the CoreBuilder
®
9000 ATM Enterprise
Switch Local Management Application (LMA) to configure and administer
the CoreBuilder 9000 ATM Enterprise Switch. A Menu Index shows the
command structure of the LMA and refers to the command description
for each menu command. You run the LMA from a terminal via a direct
RS-232 connection or via Telnet.
Management
Capabilities
Use the LMA to configure your CoreBuilder 9000 ATM Enterprise
SwitchCoreBuilder 7000 family Switch. To augment network
management, you can use an external application, such as 3Com’s
Transcend
® Enterprise Manager ATMvLAN Manager.
LMA functions include:
Platform administration
LAN Emulation administration
ATM Connections administration
Statistics display
Testing & Diagnostics administration
