This chapter explains how to view network statistics to help you perform
some related diagnostic tasks.

Viewing Network
Statistics
At any time after you configure the CoreBuilder
®
9000 ATM Enterprise
Swtich, you may want to view the available statistics to see how well the
network is functioning. For example, you may want to display the general
statistics for an overview of the network, or the signalling statistics for
protocol information on specific ports.
To view statistics:

From the CoreBuilder 9000 LMA Main Menu, enter

to access the
Statistics menu (STS).

Type the number indicated in Table 62 to view the desired statistic type.

Description

PHY:
Physical Layer
Displays the physical layer statistics for a specified port.
The data displayed in the physical layer statistics can be
referenced in the event that the link status LED does not light
up. If the values of the data are not all “0”, the connection
has not been successful.
