switching for up to 22 OC-12c/STM-4 ATM ports and up to 88
OC-3c/STM-1 155 Mbps SONET/SDH ports
A self-routing switching architecture built on top of an 560 Gbps (full-
duplex) passive backplane that meets demands for higher port density,
faster data speeds, and scalability
Seamless, full-rate multicast support
Cell Loss Priority (CLP) support for congestion management. Dynamic
threshold mechanism for CLP, EFCI marking ready, EPD hardware
ready, PPD hardware ready
A back pressure control mechanism
Policy support VCI/VPI (Hardware ready)
4096 VCs for each OC-3c port; 4096x4 for each OC-12c port
Two levels of priority, dynamic allocation of cell buffer priority and
scheduling capability per priority per port
Switch Management via PCMCIA card with terminal connection status
indicator
